Our approach goes beyond traditional counseling methods, incorporating a holistic perspective and evidence-based treatments that have proven to be effective. Childhood ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) are neurodevelopmental disorders that typically begin in childhood and can persist into adulthood.
ADD is characterized by inattention, difficulty staying focused, and being easily distracted. Children with ADD often have trouble organizing tasks and following instructions, and may be forgetful. However, they may not display hyperactivity or impulsive behavior.
ADHD, on the other hand, includes symptoms of both inattention and hyperactivity-impulsivity. In addition to being easily distracted and having difficulty staying focused, children with ADHD may fidget, squirm, have trouble staying seated, talk excessively, interrupt others, or act impulsively without considering the consequences.
These disorders can affect a child's academic performance, social interactions, and overall functioning. They are commonly diagnosed in childhood and require professional evaluation and intervention for appropriate management and support.
