Hello there! My name is Helena, and  I’m a licensed clinical social worker intern with Caring Therapists of Broward. For over 5 years, I’ve had the absolute privilege of helping amazing adolescents and young adults navigate life’s challenges and find their way to a brighter, happier future. Before this, I was a primary school teacher, a school guidance counselor, and a clinical social work mental health provider, so I bring a mix of experiences to our time together.

I’m passionate about working with children, teens, young adults, and families, each of whom holds a special place in my heart. My background allows me to support people through anxiety, depression, trauma (both childhood and adult), ADHD, learning disorders, eating disorders, social skills, social anxiety, bullying, and self-esteem struggles. My biggest goal? To help you create meaningful change in your life that lasts.

Building a warm, trusting relationship is at the heart of everything I do. I’m here to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel completely comfortable sharing your story. I often use narrative therapy to help us connect—this approach allows you to explore your experiences in a way that uncovers your true feelings and needs. Together, we’ll re-write your story, focusing on empowerment, healing, and self-discovery. You’ll find balance and happiness by expanding your emotional "tool kit" with techniques that fit you perfectly.
